Really cool dining experience. The soup was really good!
This place was well worth the stop, we seen it on our way to the Calgary Zoo, and we had high hopes of catching it on the way home, we were not dissapointed. The service was amazing, the server was kind and fast! The food was superb, we all totally enjoyed the experience. And at the end our lovely server came out to give us my hat that I left in the booth! So great of her! I totally recommend this place for anyone traveling in either direction.
Great service and good diner food. We arrived at the end of breakfast and beginning of lunch. My ham and eggs were good and the chunk hash browns were perfectly crispy. My partner's club house was very high up on his list of best clubhouse sandwiches ever. The ingredients were fresh. The home cut fries were hot and delicious. This diner was visited by locals and travelers. Process we reasonable for the quality and quantity of food. We'll have to stop in for pie another day.
We loved the kitschy retro feel of the diner with 50's style decor and a twist of space. The menu was reminiscent of old diners with burger, hot sandwiches, pie, and shakes. Food was reasonably priced and portions were generous. Service was good but lacked a bit in being friendly. Definitely a great stop off highway 2.
Hungry? Get the Meteor burger. Nicely done and lots of goodies. Stop in! You have time.
Breakfast with a vintage flare .... love the 60’s Julep Drink
It was such a cute diner! The girls were lovely!
It was a great meal a great service
This is always a fun retro food stop off of Hwy 2 between Calgary and Edmonton. Basic diner food, friendly staff. Very cool diner car with a neat UFO perched on top. Great for a quick bite when you're on the road and don't want fast food!
This place is really cool! While I wouldn't say the food will knock your socks off... the milkshakes are great and the atmosphere is an experience that every traveling Albertan should experience! It's easily accessible from HWY 2, the food was prepared lightning quick and prices were super reasonable.
Great food and cool atmosphere
Almost died on the way to when my gf seen it and without thinking or slowing down to take the turn off of the highway at almost 100kms/hr
Good food, great service.
Although staff was nice, the food was terrible. I don't know if it was a bad day or whatever but it was quite flavourless and sub par.. These burgers were expensive! I paid 14 dollars for my meteor burger and I was expecting great things, but the A&W across the street tastes MUCH better. After waiting 30 minutes, my burger had limp lettuce, old looking tomato, and because the burger came with pickles, a single, round pickle slice. Just ONE. in the whole burger .My brothers poutine had a pea in it, and had hardly any cheese curds at all. The fries were the only okay thing in the whole meal. I would never go there again.
I've always wanted to stop here and finally did. It's a little 50's diner mixed with area 51. Great theme. Food is great and service was great too.
Dont buy their coffee. I cant testify to anything else, since I just stopped their for a coffee and nothing else.... but it was some of the worst hot water I ever had. I hope their food was good, cause the lady working there seemed pretty nice.
Starlite Diner is an interesting little spot with a quirky decor and solid down home food. The pancakes are a bit small in my opinion but tasty. Service was a bit spotty for our big group but most people enjoyed their food.
Great retro dining. A walk into the 50's. Waitresses too. Reasonably palatable Fare.
Great food and best staff!
I have had breakfast here a couple of times and it is a very good place for a stop. The food was cooked just right, farmer sausage and eggs with great hashbrowns and toast,, done just perfect.Eat here anytime.
Just loved the atmosphere!!! Great food. Great service and the hot turkey sandwich was amazing!! If you have a chance you should go.
awesome meal terrific pleasant service
Super cute place! The staff were super nice and we loved all of the food. We will be back!
Everything you like in a 50s style diner. Nice vibes, friendly staff and good food.
Located off highway 2 south in Bowden, this place is a must stop in place to eat and see. It has a very 50's kinda theme inside with much memorabilia on the walls. There is a space theme going on inside and outside thus being called "Starlite Diner car" with having an old railway car look about it. The staff are pleasant and very friendly along with a very welcoming atmosphere. The food is very tasty and proportionate too. The burgers are excellent along with generous portion of fries, all moderately priced. I totally recommend this place to all who are in the area, you will not be disappointed. Even if it's just for a photo shoot. Don't forget to watch out for the UFO flying just above the diner itself.
Great food, greater service!!!
Nice retro place to have lunch. Most of the food was good. The burgers were too well done, to the point of too dry. I like mine med.
Awesome service and great food!
Really cute stop off the highway, exactly what you would hope for out of a small town diner. The meal was delicious and very filling. Would definitely go back on my next drive down that highway.
An out of this world spot. What a blast. The Starline Diner is a fun spot. Spotlessly clean. While the menu items sound like 50’s science fiction (I had the Crop Circle Salad), the food is down to earth. Try one of the pies for dessert.
Nice diner, cozy, delicious food, excellent service, delicious pies and deserts.
Food was so tasty. Really great price. Will definitely go back. They were even accommodating to my celiac needs
Great food and great service! Staff is very nice.
A clean family friendly establishment, conveniently located just off of Hwy 2. Promt and friendly service. Very satisfied with the food we ordered.
Love This Place. Food tastes home-cooked tasting and feels like what a 50's diner would be (l'm too young to know). Folks are friendly. Would give it 5 stars but it's not very big so seating is sometimes limited at peak breakfast or lunch hours. But then again, that speaks volumes.😁
The food was amazing as was the service. Great atmosphere and very clean to boot.
Cool place with good food.
Very good food awesome alien 👽 vibes And they even have pie and milk shakes.
Average fast food.
Excellent diner fare, milkshakes are on point, I would encourage anybody to go there. We were passing through and are so happy we stopped here.
Have always wanted to stop here. I was so excited to check it out and I just found everything blah. Food was fine, service was ok. I wouldnt go back. Better places to stop along the highway.
This is either a wonderfully preserved authentic diner car, or a really well done modern retro diner car. Either way, you'll fly back in time to simpler times of coffee and fresh milkshake with pie. The food was simple and delicious - check out the burgers or Salisbury steak cooked old school with a charcoal broiler!
Great little place. Clean, good food friendly service though it fills up really fast. They have that older alien theme and they have a lot of fun with it. Gluten free burger buns too! Always enjoy stopping when in the area.
The nostalgic setup is quaint. Old diner car style. The service was good, the food came in a good amount of time. When it came it was as ordered.Truck stop style food with good service!
Cool little rail car diner along the highway with a bit of a 1950s Roswell theme going on.Ordered "Alien" Fingers, Poutine and Clam Chowder. Everything was great and the service was exceptional. Food may have taken a little long to arrive given what we ordered off the menu, but it was quite busy while we were there.Definitely worth a stop on your trip down the highway.
Great place to stop right along the highway by Bowden. Second time here and will definitely be back. Great service and really great prices. Inside is well done up and food is great. Never too busy but usually a few people here.
I have an idea. It's taking the cheese out of the fridge and warming it to at least room temperature before attempting to use it on a poutine. Also gravy being hot enough to melt the "curds" would help. (They weren't curds, just cold crumbled mozzarella.). Coffee was gross.
Was greeted right away by friendly server. Food came out fast. I am repeat customer and will go again
Cute little diner, service was friendly, breakfast average good. We had simple egg hash browns. We would go back again.
Was looking forward to the "diner experience" but was a bit put off by all the negative signage hung on the door, by the till and even in the washroom. The staff was efficient and friendly.Other than that, the food was ok but the coffee was pricey. Mixed feelings about our time here.
